Privacy

SumWise Desktop performs normal calculator work locally on a Windows computer. SumWise Compute is a separate hosted HTTPS service, so requests sent to Compute necessarily reach that service for processing.

SumWise Desktop Privacy

The SumWise Desktop Windows application runs on the user's computer. Calculator inputs, graph commands, settings, and history are handled by the desktop application on that device.

SumWise Desktop does not require its own account, cloud sync, analytics account, or cloud calculation service for normal calculator use.

Desktop Purchases And Downloads

For the Microsoft Store edition, installation, trial, license verification, purchases, receipts, and updates are handled through Microsoft Store. Microsoft may process account, device, payment, license, and support information according to its own policies.

Users should review Microsoft Store privacy information for details about how Microsoft handles Store and account data.

Direct Desktop Payment and Manual Delivery

Stripe hosts Direct checkout and processes payment details under its privacy policy. SumWise uses your name, delivery email, payment-status and purchase information to verify payment, issue or re-deliver your named-holder license, provide restricted application/source access, record fulfillment and support your purchase.

Delivery is arranged by email and restricted business Google Drive sharing. Google processes the associated delivery/account information under its privacy policy. Application and third-party source access is supplied separately from your private license. This static website does not collect card details, activate licenses or automate delivery. Do not send passwords or payment-card details by email. Direct support.

SumWise Compute Privacy

SumWise Compute is a hosted HTTPS private-alpha service. Request data necessarily reaches the hosted Compute service so it can perform the requested computation.

Durable SumWise Compute usage accounting is designed not to persist:

Limited operational and accounting metadata may be retained for service operation, security, support, and accounting. Requests and credentials are necessarily handled transiently while the hosted service processes and authenticates them, and infrastructure outside the application may produce ordinary operating-system, network, or provider metadata.

Calculation QA Review and Stripe payment privacy

Stripe hosts checkout and processes payment details under its privacy policy. SumWise uses buyer contact and payment-status information to verify, fulfill, and support the review.

Do not send credentials, customer records, or production data. Use a non-sensitive rule and synthetic examples. Contact SumWise about the review.

Optional website analytics

With your permission, this website uses Google Analytics to understand which public pages are useful and which Store, checkout and support links visitors select. Google Analytics is off until you choose Accept analytics in the footer. Declining does not affect browsing, documentation or purchases. Without JavaScript, optional Google Analytics remains off.

After acceptance, Google may process browsing events, approximate location derived from network information, browser/device information and analytics cookie identifiers. The site sends known page addresses and titles, a referring site's origin, and fixed link categories; it does not deliberately send query strings, fragments, email-link contents, calculation inputs, license keys or payment/customer identifiers. A link click is not proof of a purchase, installation or email.

We use analytics storage only, with advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization denied. We disable Google Signals and advertising personalization in this site's tag configuration. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change your choice. A small versioned preference is saved in this browser's local storage without creating a new user identifier. If storage is blocked, the choice may not survive a page change. Declining after acceptance disables further site analytics, clears this stream's accessible analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded tag. This cannot retract requests already sent or in flight. Clearing browser storage also clears your choice.

Website hosting and Netlify measurements

Netlify hosts this website and may process ordinary request logs, network/device information and hosting performance measurements separately from optional Google Analytics. The hosting service has previously added its own performance script to served pages; the Google Analytics choice does not control Netlify's hosting measurements. See Netlify's privacy policy. These website measurements are separate from the local Desktop calculator and from Stripe payment verification.

Changes To These Products

This page should be updated when SumWise Desktop or SumWise Compute changes in a way that materially affects the privacy descriptions above.
