These terms distinguish Microsoft Store purchases, Direct Desktop purchases, the Calculation QA Review, and separate Compute access. Existing Store and earlier customers' rights are preserved.
Microsoft Store Purchases
The Microsoft Store edition includes a full-featured seven-day trial and a one-time US$24.99 purchase, with no Desktop subscription. Microsoft Store handles its own transactions, receipts, licensing, installation, updates and refunds under its policies. These Store arrangements do not apply to Direct payment or delivery.
Direct Desktop Purchase Terms
The initial Direct release is unsigned. Windows may warn or block it under its security or policy settings. Do not disable Windows security to install it. Contact avery@sumwisecalc.com to agree manual delivery timing before payment. Direct purchase support.
SumWise Desktop is US$24.99, paid once. Your Direct license is for one named individual's personal and internal-business use on up to two devices that individual controls. You may replace an old device. These contractual limits do not imply that the offline application counts your devices. These new Direct terms do not reduce rights granted to earlier customers or change Microsoft Store purchase terms.
Your permission to use covered versions is perpetual and does not expire merely with time. No subscription or mandatory periodic online validation is required. You may reinstall using your saved license file and request re-delivery after verification of your entitlement.
Your initial license carries a US$24.99 nominal USD price level. While SumWise's regular base price remains US$24.99, you may upgrade to the latest version without an additional license fee, including a new major version. If a future release has an approved higher regular price, you may optionally pay only the positive difference between its price level and the level already credited to your license. Completed upgrade credit carries forward. Equal or lower levels require no charge and do not reduce your credit. Tax, processor fees, exchange charges and local currency presentation do not change this nominal licensed level. A lower-priced release does not create an automatic refund. A price increase or declined upgrade does not disable versions already covered by your entitlement.
Delivery is initially manual. We disclose and agree delivery timing before payment; we do not promise instant delivery or a fixed next-business-day or 48-hour deadline. Perpetual permission to use covered software is distinct from availability of hosting, downloads, support and compatibility with future hardware or Windows versions; it does not promise those services or compatibility forever.
Applicable third-party library sources, notices and replacement instructions will accompany the application delivery. Third-party libraries retain their own license terms. SumWise restrictions do not limit rights those licenses grant, including permitted modification or replacement of LGPL-covered libraries and reverse engineering of the combined work to debug those modifications. A permitted compatible library replacement is not piracy. Proprietary SumWise source remains private except for rights otherwise granted by applicable law or an applicable third-party license.
SumWise may terminate the Direct license only for a substantiated material breach, such as unauthorized redistribution of proprietary SumWise software. Before a termination decision, we will state the grounds and provide a reasonable opportunity to respond and, where the breach can be remedied, to remedy it, subject to applicable law. A payment dispute, chargeback, import error, insufficient upgrade credit or permitted third-party modification alone is not proof of abuse. Refunds and cancellation are handled under the agreed purchase terms and applicable law; this wording adds no refund deadline or automatic denial. Non-waivable legal rights and third-party-license rights remain unaffected. The offline application does not implement remote revocation, automatic piracy accusations or deletion of licenses or user data.
SumWise Compute Private Alpha
SumWise Compute is a hosted, manually provisioned private-alpha service separate from the Microsoft Store license for SumWise Desktop. Its current public mathematical surface is Evaluate-only and deliberately bounded by finite customer limits.
SumWise Compute has no public uptime SLA, unlimited plan, or guarantee of parallel or high-throughput capacity. Separate customer-specific commercial terms may apply when access is provisioned.
SumWise Calculation QA Review
The US$99 one-time service covers one supported numerical rule: a written rule/input-output specification, assumptions and edge/failure conditions, at least 8 synthetic tests (typically 8–12 or more) with expected outputs, and a short implementation/integration note.
We agree the supported rule, scope, delivery timing, and cancellation/refund arrangements in writing before payment. Work begins only after SumWise verifies successful payment.

This review is not an accounting audit, compliance certification, or guarantee that a production system is error-free. It includes no Desktop license or recurring Compute API access. Purchase support.
Responsible Use
SumWise Desktop and SumWise Compute provide supported mathematical workflows within their documented boundaries. Users are responsible for checking important calculations and using appropriate professional judgment for high-stakes work.
